As part of the project we also enlarged and replaced our kitchen, moving a weight bearing wall two feet into the new addition on one end and eliminating another weight bearing wall into the dining room on the other end. This gave much needed space and natural light to our kitchen/dining area.

Jim Summers helped us from the planning through the finishing phase of our project. He listened to and addressed all of our questions. He helped us detail the perfect addition to suit our living needs and to compliment the architecture of our house. He presented a contract that was very detailed and understandable and his estimate was very fair for the amount of work and detail he put into our house. He and his crew were very prompt, highly organized, and clean with all work activities relating to this job. Jim’s skill level was apparent from the very start and is evident throughout the finished addition.

As I continued to add additional detail work, I was continually impressed with the accuracy and soundness of his work. All floors are sound with no give or squeaks and all angles are true. He used top quality material and he would readily return, exchange, or add to the building materials as necessary (or as I changed my mind about something, as I often did... unfortunately for Jim). Jim and his workers were always patient, courteous, and acted like gentlemen.

Finally, when all work was finished Jim performed his own ‘punch list’ and actually revised or replaced some features or details of the project that I was not even aware needed attention. I am very satisfied with the work Jim performed here and have referred him to other friends, as I’m sure they will also do.
